Blue Fox
This next restaurant is a controversial choice, but mostly for one fact only, the line-ups. A lot of my friends are strictly “we don’t do lines” folks, so if I do go to Blue Fox, I choose random hours like super early in the morning or later in the morning, even spilling into the afternoon, solely to avoid the line-ups. I honestly think that Blue Fox is just as famous for its food as it is for its line-ups. But without a doubt, I can’t think of a time where I wasn’t satisfied with my breakfast here. It’s a tiny space with lots of brightly coloured walls and artwork, smiling servers and a room abuzz with colloquial chatter. The portions are very generous and I always look forward to what type of homemade jam they will give me with my toast. I usually get the Chorizo and Eggs, but the peasant toast or bennies are always solid choices too. It’s a charming place with your coffee cup always being topped-up and plastic cups, casual and chummy and always yummy.
