Weekend Café Crawl

I love going to the beaches along the Juan de Fuca trail and as many times as I have gone, a pattern has emerged: A stop at Shirley Delicious is a must!

This place is an absolute dream. Cool building, nice yard and great staff! The people working inside have larger than life personalities and have always been super welcoming. The coffee is fantastic and the baked goods and sandwiches are perfect for taking to the beach or for the drive!

On my way back, I sometimes stop at the Cold Shoulder Cafe which has good coffee and soups/sandwiches/pastries too, in Jordan River.

A few other cafes that I’ve gone to in the last few weekends:

Demitasse- Cute little neighbourhood cafe on McNeill Ave in Oak Bay. Half garden store and half cafe, this is a great spot for meeting up with friends for a drink and a treat!

Empire Donuts- Whenever I am walking around downtown doing some errands, I “accidentally” walk past Empire and check out which amazing flavours they have that day. I like their drip coffee too. This donut was root beer glazed. Enough said.

Discovery coffee- I always order the same thing when I go to Discovery, no matter which location it is. I love their Americano, lots of crema and smooth enough to drink without cream or sugar. Out of all their locations, I like the Oak Bay location best!
